Show Me Paranormal Investigation ~ Talbot House This investigation was performed at the Talbot House, Waynesville Missouri Case details: The Talbot House is notorious for being haunted. It is one of the oldest homes in Waynesville and named Talbot House for Dr. Talbot who owned the residence and ran his physicians office out of the home as well. The new owner now runs an antique store in the residence and essentially all lived in feeling is gone, but it is a treasure chest for the antique lover. One of our team members was the real estate agent for the previous owner and had heard the stories from Bobbi (owner) about the spirits residing in the home, one in particular being a little girl who liked to play with things in the upstairs front bedroom. Show Me Paranormal was welcomed to come into the residence to either prove or disprove paranormal activity once and for all, and this was the first paranormal investigation ever performed at Talbot House. During this investigation we had some guests accompany the team, and we would like to thank them and let them know we enjoyed having them along. The Revealing: The residence, during the investigation, seemed quiet and aside from team members hearing groaning type sounds through the Frank Box, it seemed like there was nothing gained to prove any activity. However, until the photos and dvr recordings are evaluated you cannot know for sure and this is what happened with Talbot House. The following evidence is what we came out with in the end. The Evidence: Although we did not get many photos of absolute paranormal activity, we obtained some questionable photos. It can be difficult to be sure of unusual things appearing in photos taken in this type of environment where you have rooms packed with antiques, including old photos and other things that could possibly be causing reflections somehow. Although we rechecked to see if anything could have caused the reflections, and found nothing that fit with the images, we still will not base our conclusions upon the oddities in the photos because of the environment. The provable evidence cane more in the form of evps that were obtained. There was also an event of the pendulum on a grandfather clock in the lower area that used to be the doctors office suddenly swinging of its own accord. We experienced a few emf light spikes on the ghost meter (all power was shut down to the residence during the investigation), but nothing extreme. We will begin with the photos: Just a strange and unexplainable photo taken by a team member. There may be a logical explanation such as movement while taking the shot, but the team member was not moving. Typical orb photo, orbs being nothing outstanding but including as we did not get many orbs in the residence. Another orb right on Theresa's back as she worked with the Frank Box upstairs Orbs outside the residence A photo was obtained previous to this photo where it appeared something was in the window, but due to the high reflective ability of window glass and the room being loaded with many shiny items, we dismissed the photo. We have included this one however, because you can see in the cut taken from the original full size photo that whatever this is cannot be window reflection as it extends onto the curtain and the chair back. Like a small misty formation in nature . Just another orb in the floor by the table and the only reason I include this photo is because at the time the orb was captured, a team member was in the floor at the opposite end of the table attempting to interact with any child entity that may be present. She specifically was telling the child, if present, that she would get down in the floor at her level if she wanted to come play or talk. This photo was taken from one bedroom into the opposite bedroom where two team members were doing an evp session with the Frank Box. In its full size photo, it was easy to see that something of a shadow nature was on team member Dianna's arm, as if it were trying to wrap around her arm. This also could not be a reflection of any kind, as nothing was near to reflect off of and it is clearly on the team members arm and running downwards. The team member stated that she felt something touching her when it the previous bedroom where the photographer was shooting this photo form, this before walking into the opposite bedroom. Not sure if this is related to that sensation of being touched and whatever having followed her to the other room, or it was something new. The bedroom they are in was the most active for bumping up the lights on the ghost meter, and this room drained quickly the batteries in cameras and dvrs of all that entered the room. This is the room where the previous owner claimed the little girl would play. I cut out the image from the full size photo for closer visibility on the webpage and did another smaller cut and lightened the photo for aid in seeing. This photo was taken by a team member sitting in the upper hallway in the floor. She was shooting randomly towards the back bedrooms and in reviewing the full size photo noted an image in the clock hanging on the wall in the bedroom to the left. If you look closely at the original photo you can make out what looks like box inside the door opening (the door on the left side of the hall behind the quilt on bannister), that is where the team member has drawn a box around where the ghostly image is showing. Then we have cut the image directly out of the full size photo and kept it at full pixel size so hopefully you can see the image. We also provided a greyscale outlined image to try to help with visualizaton. Some have a hard time seeing the image, so do not feel alone if you as well are not picking up on it. I see a little girl, blonde hair cut in a Shirley Temple era style, and she is in a white dress with the photo either ending at approximately the hipline. We rechecked for any photos in the room that could be reflecting this image onto the glass of the clock, but found nothing that could cause such. (Sometimes it seems the MP3's play more clearly however. We recommend that you read the captions below each evp recording so you are familar with the particular setting of each evp and what you can expect to hear on the recording. Evps can sometimes be difficult to hear if you do not know what you are looking for. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Talbot House Evp #1 The above is the entire clip where two evps were captured while two investigation members were in the furthest back bedroom. A cuckoo clock (battery operated) sounded, startling the two members in which they began laughing and then talking about the clock itself. These evps were picked up admist their chat about such and the first of the two says "Who Goes There?", and the second says either "Ask her to come back" or Ask her to go back". We isolate the evps below for you. The strange thing concerning the second evp is the female member was yawning at the same time the evp occurred and it sounded like the two of them blended. When she first heard it, she felt it sounded like her own voice saying this in the midst of her yawning, but she knew she never spoke anything of the such, it not even being appropriate to the conversation the two team members were having, which was about her father having a clock just like this one, how she loved the clock, but it made her father crazy when it cuckooed so he would stop the clock. We do not know if the second evp was some kind of response to the first evp or exactly what it was about, but the team member remembered, and the recording itself revealed, that a few moments prior to the clock sounding, she had been expressing her surprise to have learned that the previous owner, Bobbi, had died as she was so young, and had stated that she wondered if Bobbi had loved the house enough to possibly have come back there in death as a spirit. The clock alarmed and startled them and they got on the topic of the clock then. Talbot House Evp #2 The evp above is an isolation of the first of the two captured in the first clip you heard. It appears to be a female saying, "Who Goes There". Talbot House Evp #3 This is the second of the two evps from the first session, and again it is female to the best of our hearing, and it says "Ask Her To Come Back or Go Back". Talbot House Evp #4 The evp above was captured in the front right bedroom where it has been claimed a little girl plays with the toy items that used to be in the room when the previous owner, Bobbie, resided there. We are not able to make out what is being said, and if any of our visitors can make it out, please email us. Talbot House Evp #5 This is an isolated clip of the above evp. Talbot House Evp #6 The isolated clip from above slowed for better clarity. Talbot House Evp #7 This is one last evp that came out of the Talbot House. Again it is a female, and we are not sure what she is saying, sounds like one word and could be just a sigh type sound rather then a word. Case Conclusion: This was a more difficult investigation due to the contents within the home at ths time. It no longer felt, nor looked, so much like a home but like a large antique store. As stated in the case detail, the contents made it difficult due to so many objects that could cause reflections. The new owner was skeptical of there being paranormal activity, but once seeing what little we had that was questionable, he seemed to have changed his opinion. I, as the narrator of this case page, am well acquainted with the residence prior to the current owner purchasing it and have through the years bore witness to many reputable persons providing statements of activty they experienced there, including Bobbi, the previous owner. I had been in the home many times while occupied by Bobbi, and knew well the decor and layout of the home at that time, in which it was a very welcoming and lived in home back then. All the bedrooms were furnished as bedrooms, even though Bobbi was a single woman living alone in the home. Her bedroom was on the bottom level, a bedroom that her father occupied prior to his death in that room. The upstairs were all guest bedrooms, five in total upstairs, so it was a six bedroom home back then. The front bedroom to the right was made up like a young girls room, containing toys and items from Bobbi's own childhood, of which Bobbi claimed a little girl ghost favored that room. We only know of one death in the residence, Bobbi's father, but we can be assured that there were probably more with the residence once being the local doctors office. Who the little girl is, if she exists, know one really knows. We expected to obtain more hardcore paranormal evidence in this residence due to it's haunted history, but as noted earlier it was very quiet aside from a large clock pendulum being shoved once and some moaning briefly issuing from the Frank Box. Do I dispute the claims through the years of the home being haunted, certainly not, and considered that maybe the residence is no longer as active as it was once upon a time because of the uninhabitable environment it now seems to hold within it's walls. Ghosts are people too as we know, and they continue living in and desiring in spirit form what they had in life, a inhabitable and comfortable environment. Do I affirmatively claim that it is definitely haunted? Even though we obtained some unexplainable things, I would like to see more outstanding evidence. Evps are good evidence and the shadow image upon the arm of our member Dianna was a great catch, but I personally would like to do further investigation at the home. Preferably an overnight stay to see if we could obtain more. So stay tuned for Talbot House 2 and lets just see what we get.
