Show Me Paranormal Investigation ~ Private Residence in Iberia This investigation was performed at a private residence in Iberia. Although the client approved disclosue of their details and events, the names and exact location details are being withheld to protect the clients privacy. Case details: The occupant, and elderly female, at the residence was audibly hearing a male voice speaking to her during the night. She claimed the male voice would speak sexual innuendos to her, but was not specific in such seeming embarrassed to say exactly what those things were. She also experienced the smell of cigarette smoke although it was a non smoking residence and claimed to have visual apparations of cigarette smoke being blown into her face. The client was suffering health wise from exhaustion. This due to the lack of sleep from the disturbances during the night. Preliminary Investigation: The interior and outside perimeters of the structure were inspected for possible intrusion by another human. The activity was concentrated in the complaintants bedroom only. The single bedroom window was inspected on the exterior, including the ground beneath the window. It was discovered that the ground beneath the window remained continously wet and muddy due to drainage from an Artesian well. No footprints were noted in wet ground beneath and in the vicinity of the window. Preliminary Investigator tested the area by stepping into the area at the clients bedroom window while a witness observed. It was noted that investigator sank in the muddy area and left footprint impressions. Investigator then interviewed close by facing neighbors who denied seeing or hearing any outside disturbances around this side of the clients home. The investigator ruled out any exterior interferences. The investigator then inspected the interior of the bedroom, looking for devices or means for another person to emit voice transmissions into the room during the night. The investigator ruled out any modes of interior interference by another person. The investigator reviewed the clients medical history and current medications, and interviewed family members of the client. She was able to rule out any medical explanations for the alleged activity. Client was also found to be of sound mind and reasoning with no signs of any mental incapacity. It was learned that she suffers a hearing deficit in the right ear, which is the direction within the room she claims the voice emits from. The investigator also learned that the client desired to move from the location and needed good cause to orchestrate that move being bound by a lease agreement. When family was queried as to if client would fabricate the events to establish cause for this relocation, they assured investigator that it was not the normal nature of the client to do such a thing. Research of Location: Preliminary Investigator, through neighbor interviews, discovered that a few surrounding neighbors were also experiencing questionable activity. There was a report of a child apparition awakening another neighbor during the night, the witness feeling the child shake them from sleep and visibly seeing what was described as a blonde haired male child around the age of three years old, who would then vanish once it had the witnesses arousal and attention. This same witness reported her own child being frightened by a disembodied male voice calling the childs name out in the late evening. Another neighbor reported that there five year old male child would no longer sleep in his bedroom, claiming there was a man who would play with his toys during the night. The investigator spoke with the child directly, asking the child why he did not like to sleep in his room. The child stated, "There is a man who plays with my toys and he wakes me up, he is being rude." The same neighbor, husband and wife, complained of seeing dark shadows flitting around their residence, their family cats exhibiting strange behaviors as if frightened at times, and one occurance of the husband working on his computer late at night and hearing a loud, strange sounding cry emit from the childrens bedroom when no one was in there, finding nothing upon investigation of the sound. It was discovered by the investigator that a former neighbor, also an elderly female, had suffered under the same circumstances as the client. She had voiced complaints, to the care provider, of a male voice waking her at night and believing it was an intruder at her bedroom window trying to frighten her. The family, feeling she was having hallucinations stemming from dementia, finally relocated her to a long term nursing facility. Information pertaining to the land of the neighborhood was limited. Even the local historian had little knowledge of its past. An 'Old Timer' in the area stated that the land used to be prime cattle grazing land due to the Artesian well located there, which would flow and create a pond during wet weather seasons. The cattle would be taken in and out seasonally as appropriate. It was learned that the town of Iberia contains many Artesian wells throughout the town which have proven difficult for the citys water department. It is possible that the land belonged to a wealthy family in the 1700 and 1800's era, who raised cattle. The last owner in this family line died a tragic death on the property not far from the neighborhood area of activity. However, there is no determination that there is a link between the two incidents or that the land even belonged to this family line. There are no known deaths in the residences of this area, and the structures were built in the late eighties. Past occupants of the residence denied any strange happenings while residing there. Preliminary investigator, in attempts to determine if client was truly hearing a voice or possibly suffering from imagination, issued the client a analog tape recorder already loaded with a tape and set to record, and gave instructions on usage. The client was requested to turn the recorder on when she began to hear the voice and just let the machine run. The following morning the recorder was retrieved from the client and evaluated, and evps were captured. However, due to the nature of the evps being whispers, the investigator had to consider that the client may have been the source of the whispering. The recording was sent off to another out of state investigator with special sound programming for his determination if the evps were male or female voiced. The return report stated the evp voice was definitely male. The investigator conferenced with clients family members and it was decided that the investigator, while doing a 'before bed' room check for the client, would place a Digital Recorder in the room unbeknownst to the client. This task was orchestrated, and the next morning the investigator returned and advised client of the placement of the recorder per family request and retrieved the device. Client stated there should be activity on the recorder as the voice spoke to her once again all during the night, with herself responding to the voice. In this recording, evps were captured in conversations between the client and the unknown male voice source. Investigator returned that night to the residence and again conducted a bedroom check for the client and attempted to speak with the entity, instructing it to leave the client alone for the night. Investigator experienced the activity while there of moving cold spots around the living room area, following the instruction for the entity to exit the bedroom. Investigator followed the cold spots around the room, stepping into them with the cold spot then moving a few feet away, and the repeating of this activity several times over. Investigator could not locate any source of draft entry and described the cold spots as enveloping areas of cold, not just atmospheric (in the air), but the cold spots being felt internally as if a very cold entity actually stepped inside the physical body of the investigator, the feeling the cold inside her body. Preliminary investigator determined the need to call paranormal team in for formal investigation. Formal Investigation: Show Me Paranormal team members, at the time of this investigation being members of another paranormal group therefore accompanied by those members, arrived at the clients resident at approximately nine pm, when the activity was claimed to initiate each night, which is the clients bedtime. The client was in the attendance of three unexpected family members who came by to visit and were unaware of the events up until this visit. Founder/investigator Loren, conducted a brief interview with the client and family before investigation began. Client was prepared for bed, requested by team to follow her normal nightly routine as if no one were there. A digital recorder was placed in the clients bedroom and left running, while all team members attending the investigation exited to the front porch area of the residence. The family members were requested to exit the residence as well but resisted, deciding to settle in, in the living room area. The lights were turned down and the residence became quiet. During the wait, a few team members, at the request of the neighbor whose child was suffering from activity in his bedroom, investigated the neighboring residence. The occupant opted to remove herself and her children from the residence while the investigation was being conducted, going to another neighbors residence to wait until the team was finished. The lights were turned out and investigators conducted routine investigation with digital recorders and photography in the residence. There was little apparent activity in the residence, other then one male team member experiencing a overwhelming condition of sorrow while sitting in the childs bedroom, to the extreme that he experienced an episode of uncontrolled crying and had to exit the residence to regroup himself. The team decided to exit the residence, leaving a digital recorder in place which would be retrieved at the conclusion of the initial clients investigation. The residence remained empty of living persons until the conclusion of investigation. Team members once again entered the residence of the client, to do a internal team investigation. The client and family members retreated to the living room while team members occupied the bedroom with camera equipment, meters and a digital recorder and began quiet and interactive time with the haunting entity. Following some time in this stage of the investigation, all team members exited and assured client and family members that we would set up an appointment to review with them any evidence obtained and make our recommendation. The team members then retrieved the digital recorder from the neighboring residence and notifed the occupant that we had concluded the investigation and would also be contacting her for a revealing of any evidence obtained. It was felt by the team in general, at the conclusion of the investigation of neighboring residence, that nothing was obtained within that particular residence to strongly indicate paranormal activity, but we discovered we were wrong. The Revealing: Clients Residence: Unlike in most locations where there is paranormal activity, there was little orb or other photography evidence obtained in the clients residence. There was one moving orb photo obtained. What the residence lacked in photography evidence, it made up for in evp evidence which is stronger evidence of paranormal activity, orbs being somewhat controversial. There were several evps obtained both while the recorder was alone with the client and even during a moment when a male family member was present in the room talking with the client. There were also evps recorded when there was just team members in the room. One of the evps that you will hear was obtained while the family member was assisting the client in the room, this while team members were outside. You will hear the clip of the client and family member talking and the evp that intrudes at this time. You will also hear a evp recording that occurred after the team re-entered the residence to do a direct investigation and the client exited the bedroom and went to bathroom, while the team and family waited in the kitchen area in view of the bathroom with there being no one present in the bedroom with the recorder. The team was respectfully waiting for the client to exit the bathroom so they could procede into the bedroom for a direct investigation. You will hear the voice call out to the client, as if wanting her to come back to the bedroom. Another evp you will hear is when the team was in the bedroom and quietly talking. Female team members were resting on the bed, and one of them became very sleepy. You will hear conversation between those team members and two evps that intrude. There are several evps from this residence and they are marked as to what recording setting they were captured in. It was also discovered from these evps that more then one entity was within the residence, even though the client was only audibly hearing the single male voice who speaks to her directly. Neighbors Residence: The team was surprised to find a very strong evp recording that was captured in the residence while no one was there. It is clearly a male voice and after much debate concerning what the disembodied voice was saying, the recording was sent to another individual whom has a high end sound program set up and upon listening to it played through this system, the voice was clearly noted to say, "Play with toys". Prior to this discovery, the team felt that anything in this residence was just a residual haunting, but this changed when it was finally and clearly determined what the entity was saying. This evp capture clearly backs up the resident childs claims of a man in his bedroom playing with his toys at night. We have also provided this evp recording, for our visitors, below. The Evidence: Client residence ~ The above captures were shot in sequence, with the moving orb captured and then quickly gone again or having moved out of the range of the camera. It was transferred to digital recorder by placing the dvr on the analog speaker and re-recording, this is the reason for alot of white noise in the recording. The entity says, "Well Hello Lou" Iberia Evp #2 This is an evp captured after we had the client go to bed and act as she normally would if no one was there. We instructed her to speak to the entity as she usually does as well, and in the recording she was doing such, provoking him to speak. The client chastizes because he is not talking, then complains of her side, she sighs, then you can hear the entity take what sounds like a breath in and speaks, "I Hear You" Iberia Evp #3 This is an isolated clip of the above evp "I hear you" Iberia Evp #4 This is a longer clip captured after putting client to bed, once the entity began holding a conversation with the client. This clip fell in line with the clients claims that the male voice would speak sexual innuendos to her. In this clip the entity repeatedly speaks "I want you", approximately five repetitions of such along with other things the team cannot make out. The client provokes the entity to speak louder (for the recorder) and tells the entity no, no, no after it speaks something undiscernable. It begans repeating over and over "I want you", with the client telling it to shut up. The entity responds to each 'shut up' by the client, in this repetition. Iberia Evp #5 The first "I want you" clip isolated from preceding longer clip. Iberia Evp #6 The second "I want you" clip isolated from preceding longer clip. The entity is speaking at the same time the client is. Iberia Evp #7 The third "I want you clip", the client tells him to shut up and he repeats. Iberia Evp #8 And again, a fourth "I want you" after the client more loudly tells it to shut up. Iberia Evp #9 This is the evp that was recorded while the clients family member was in the room assisting her. The entity says, "Catch Her". We believe this is a different entity then the one that continuously speaks to the client every night. Iberia Evp #10 This is the evp that was captured when team members and family were waiting in the kitchen, off the bathroom, for the client to exit the bathroom. There was no one in the bedroom at the time where the recorder was located. You can hear team members and the family talking, and you hear the toilet being flushed by the client, and then immediately after this you hear the entity call out the clients name, as if beckoning her back into the bedroom. This voice is the same voice that was heard in the preliminary recordings, and that was difficult for the investigator to determine sex of the entity, which was shortly verified to be male when played through a high end sound program. It is the voice that directly speaks to the client every night. Iberia Evp #11 These are two evps, from two different enities one being male and one female, were captured while the team was in the bedroom. Following you will hear the evps themselves individually isolated from the recording for better distingushing by the listener. Iberia Evp #12 This is the male "Hello" evp clip isolated from the recording Iberia Evp #13 This is the female "Help Me" evp clip isolated from the recording NEIGHBOR'S RESIDENCE EVP: Iberia Evp #13 This is a longer clip of the male voice captured in the childs room while no one is in the residence. You hear the silence of the empty residence, then suddenly you hear a undeterminable sound, then what sounds like breathing, and then the male voice. If you are listening through a high end audio program, you should have no problem clearly hearing the words, "Play with toys". If your sound quality is not good, it may sound like other things as the team debated about, one of those being the asking of a name, such as "Are you (the name), which the name was also debated about. Iberia Evp #13 Isolated clip of voice saying "Play with toys" Investigation Conclusions and Recommendations: There is definitely paranormal activity at the clients residence, as well as in the neighborhood itself. Aside from the male entity that plagued our client, there is at least one other male and a female and possibly the spirit of a child that haunts this locale. Most likely the same male entity that seemed to lock on to our client for companionship, is the same entity that at one time haunted the other elderly female neighbor. Of all the elderly ladies in the neighborhood, it was our client and this other lady that most resembled one another in size, build and hair color. It was speculated that this spirit may believe these women are his wife, except that he calls them by their names. That fact also makes this entity and intelligent haunt. It also may be this entity or it could the other male entity that is interested in playing with childrens toys, and that was calling the name of the female child in yet another residence and incident. Perhaps the child entity, that has visually manifested to another resident more then once, is the true toy playing entity and some how the one male entity is connected to this child. How these spirits are connected, if at all, how many there actually are, and why they are there lingering remains a mystery. We came to the conclusion that the hauntings stem from the land rather then the structures, the structures themselves not being that old nor having any history of deaths or tragedies. We also come to this conclusion because these spirits seem to relocate or move about within the dwellings in the this area, notable by both previous and newer occupants in each dwelling having no activity when there once was, and vice versa having activity were there wasnt for another. Initially we thought that maybe our client had some spiritual gifts that she was unaware of, being both Clairaudient and Clairalience. That this male spirit was stationary in her residence, and she was the first one to recognize his presence due these gifts. This was before further investigation revealed others in the neighborhood also suffering from paranormal activity and the other elderly lady that suffered the same exact events in a different structure. There is a possible chance that both of these elderly women have the gift of being clairaudient, and this being the attraction for this spirit, and the fact being that no one else could audibly hear his voice but these ladies. The paranormal activity validated, we recommended that our client indeed relocate for health reasons, and this only because of the clients age and possible skepticism of the client that a cleansing would resolve the issue for her. It was the best way to ensure that no reopenings, by which the spirit could once again enter, would occur. The client must feel assured that the spirit cannot gain access to her again, and her beliefs were that she could escape it by relocating. A team member assisted the client and family in accomplishing the relocation. In consideration that the client is possibly clairaudient, that this spirit became so personal with her, that she was actually relocating to another residence within the affected neighborhood, and also that this spirit is obviously mobile and not stationary to the structure itself, we also recommended a cleansing, blessing and sealing of the new residence before the client entered within. The client stayed with family while her items were relocated to the new dwelling. With a family member in attendence, one of our team members who is trained and experienced in cleansings performed this task. We are happy to report that upon relocation and a recheck on the client five months following the relocation, the client has suffered no further paranormal events.
